Could I skip this and jump straight to Metro 2035? From what I've read in the reviews, it seems like this book wasn't very good and doesn't involve the same protagonist as the first and third book.

I was really interested in the idea of Metro 2033 so I went to have a look and came across the sequels however Im more interested in the story of the 2034 version. Do I need to read 2033 first in order to understand or enjoy 2034 or is ok to just read 2034 first?
