I've never read a m/m romance (being a hetero female). I have read a f/f short story and was totally bored. I've read EA - the full kindred series and a few random others. Even though the futuristic stuff is terrible and implausible, and I sometimes get annoyed with the forced physicality (wait, we have to have sex to save the world? OK) - overall I find her stories entertaining and hot. So, should I read this?

It's along the same lines as other Evangeline Anderson books and I enjoyed it as much as those (which I liken to potato chips - junk food, but oh so yummy). So my conclusion: if you enjoy EA's books (which means you can get past the implausibility of the scenarios) you'll probably enjoy this one too.(less)

So, I am reading the reviews and am confused on one point: how could the adamantly-not-gay MC not know what would be required of him and would the fact that he's, again, not-gay not have precluded him from selection in the first place? Help me out here! You'd think that if the spacecraft was that important to ... whatever ... that crews would be compatably paired BEFORE assignment to the Needle, right?
