I thought this book could/would have been really good. I loved the basic story line but I felt it just went completely ridiculous. Am I the only one? Maybe I just did't get it, so sorry I wasted all that valuable reading time on that one.

Having not read The Time Travelers Wife, and loving this book..almost finished it..does anyone suggest reading that as a companion or completely different?

I like Her Fearful Symmetry very much and did not find it in any way a disappointment, but Time Traveler's Wife is superb. They are two entirely different kinds of stories.(less)

There's a part in the book where after Julia came to Robert's flat to inspect - Robert took Valentina/Elspeth to Jessica's house and while Robert seemed to be hopeless, he walked away but Jessica called out for Robert to come inside and said that she has to tell something. I was hoping for the answer at the end of the book, but there's none. What did she tell Robert?
