Symbolically, it's curious, though! I have a suspicion (unconfirmed, as I haven't started the sequel yet!) that it might be foreshadowing for later. The very ending of it reminded me of a story referenced in the footnotes for the 17th of November, which features a researcher lost in the Alps looking for (presumably) his love, the tempests echoing his calls of her name decades later, just as the ravens do for the lost golden bird.
But, I'm sure that's nothing to worry about. :)(less)
