In Tales of the Jedi, it shows that Dooku leaves the order after Qui-Gon's death - is that retconned in this book? The description implies that Dooku leaves before Qui-Gon's death

This does not however tell us that he is still part of the Order, as he doesn't announce him leaving it, so wether he has left is open for interpretation, but can be filled in by assuming he has already left the Order. In the book Padawan, Dooku is in that same position; he still visits the Jedi Temple, but is regarded as a respected man that left the Order. So no, that fact is not retconned in Tales of the Jedi.(less)
