Based on the past several Dean Koontz books, the EBOOK version of this novel will not be available at any public library. If you want it, you will have to purchase it from Amazon and of course only the Kindle eBook version is available for purchase. Amazon the Publisher of Dean Koontz novels has decreed that public libraries cannot purchase his newer eBooks. How do his readers feel about that?

I'm broke if it wasn't for the KU library I would've missed the best books out there, in fact my first book by Koontz sensei was The other emily which was priced at 9.99 but thanks to ku I could read and enjoy and I immediatly purchased odd thomas.
Please stop the attacks on those cool authors that love KU readers, we deserve respect.(less)

I suppose it is also related to the Pandora Box of antiquity and the reason Hope is not released into the world? "by hoping for or expecting a good life that we can never have, we prolong our torment. Thus it is better to live without hope, and it is good that hope remained in the jar. But if hope is good, then its imprisonment makes life even more dreary and insufferable"(less)

Huge Koontz fan, so this is said with love: Does it feel like he's writing based on random book plot generators? "Sparky" the romance novelist with a strange past. Bridget, beautiful precog with affinity for guns. Quinn Quicksilver, man of mystery. I will probably read this and love it (and hate myself for loving it). I just hope it isn't a rehash of Odd Thomas.
