Why isn't this and Knot of Shadows in paper format? I like books.

Why is there only an audio version of this? When I went to my library, that's all they had. When I called to request a book, they don't show it as available either in physical or ebook formats. I looked at Alibris, and they also only have CD. Why in the world would only an audio book be created and when will text be available?
