And, in this particular book (and I've read tons of rom-coms), sex is treated exactly as it should be: akward and painfull and full of doubts. The fact that he repetedly asks for consent is a good message for teenagers. So, yeah, I think that a 13yo could and maybe even should read it :)(less)
