Thanks for the great question. There is no mention of Rae's father because he has never been around, since well before her birth. It has always been Rae and her mum. I toyed with including the question but chose not to as he is irrelevant to their lives. They are clearly a single parent family and both Lucy and Lettie are fully aware of this. Before they realise her mum has gone they have no reason to ask about her dad and after Lucy has access to all the files on Rae and would not need to ask.
