Melody it's mostly a romance but it does have a lot of book relationship building too, less on the plot side. I wouldn't recommend it though, you'll be missing out on previous events, backstory and world building - and some really good books! There isn't that much happening in the overall arching storyline of the series in these two books, so they should still be enjoyable on their own. (less)
