Did anyone else find most of these characters reprehensible? I understand the idea of flowed characters, but this seemed over the top. What are the redeeming characteristics of Amy, Carson, or Marissa? I found none and had difficulty even finishing the book as I thought they were so unlikable.

Does the story or topic of this book worry anyone else? The main character sounds very much like Elin herself! I hope she's not considering retirement, maybe a sabbatical, but she's too young to stop writing! I hope I'm wrong and it's just good old fiction!
