Goodreads says it is great for fans of One of Us is Lying. The synopsis of this book sounds cool, but I am worried because I hated One of Us is Lying (because of the reveal). Do you think that they are different enough that I should be fine or no? (I liked the first like 3/4 of One of Us is Lying, just hated the reveal if that helps)

Although it shares some characteristics (namely finding out more about each character as we go along, as well as the narrating character), It is a very different book in the whole. This is mainly due to the fact that there is no contact with the outside world – the kids are completely stuck, with nobody to help them.(less)

I just finished reading it, and although Danganronpa and AYTS both have the same premise, you'll find that their focuses are very different.

AYTS looks at a group of teens struggling with the morality of killing while looking for other ways to escape and evade a ticking time bomb, while Danganronpa destroys the notion of escape from minute 1 and dives deep into a prisoner dilemma style trigger happy death game.

tl;dr same premise, different vibe & message(less)
