Has anyone purchased the book for sale on Amazon? Is it as written by Austen, or is it a much "finished" rewrite? I watched, but rather hated, the Masterpiece Theatre production. So ridiculously Gothic, without any of the Jane Austen clever comments on society. Character portrayals are somewhat amusing, but insufficient to engage: disappointing! Great costumes though, Masterpiece can do that!
