Things are laid bare for you to learn/experience them and make your own decision if it was good or bad. Often, I find myself thinking AC was sometimes petty, often not self-aware about things, and he could be manipulative. But none of that in a "good" or "bad" way - just a human way.

I've read that the author was very taken with Andrew Carnegie and is fond of how he lived. If true, the author did a good job of not allowing his affinity for AC to bleed into this book.(less)

Wikipedia says that Hill was commissioned by Carnegie, and that w…moreI have no recollection of Napoleon Hill being mentioned in Nasaw's book on Carnegie. Wikipedia says that Hill was commissioned by Carnegie, and that which he was commissioned to do would seem to fit Carnegie's character - evolutionary, deterministic. So in that sense, being commissioned, there is likely no reciprocation - Carnegie could buy the best, and often did.(less)
