This one, however, is better if you have at least read a good portion of the other Newford stories (books or short stories). It is fine stand-alone, but the weight of the story is better if you have gotten to know the character of Jilly better before you read this one. Same goes for Widdershins, but that is because it really is a direct sequel and wraps up Jilly's story.(less)
