I don't have high expectations for this book in terms of Nesta's character development. Feyre had the same mental illnesses but was "magically cured" by Rhys' magical peen. Also, it bothers me that Feyre got to where she is all because of men (got her powers because of 7 men, Rhys made her high lady, Tamlin saved her family from poverty, all of her friends she made through Rhys). Anyone else??

And yes, men may have helped her, but Feyre was plenty of fire on her own; she hunted to keep her family away from starvation, passed the maze trial in the first book, and I'm going to stop there because it'll take too much time to explain the rest; my point is, Feyre is completely resourceful and capable on her own, and there is nothing wrong with letting men sometimes help her when she needs it.(less)

I'm only 300 pages in but wonder how this is still categorized/ marketed as YA? In terms of graphic content and thematic content this is very similar to Crescent City which is considered Maas's adult debut. I love all of Maas's books and I in no way mean this as criticism of the book (which I'm loving) or any of her other books. I just wonder from curiosity if anyone is having similar reactions?
