I'm a public school librarian on a 9th and 10th grade campus (ages 14-16)...in Texas...and I'm getting lots of requests for this book. Is there anything that stands out that would make it objectionable for that audience? Note: some foul language would not necessarily exclude it, but it would if it were too much or just done for shock value (the reviews don't seem to mention any overly salacious content).

Though there were parts that I found very interesting and enjoyable to read, there was a lot of strong profanity. I can take the f-word a few times, but it is used throughout the entire book. Premarital sex, drug use, promoting hedonistic living, lying, domestic violence. The idea that the bad things you do are only bad if you get caught. There is so much literature out there that is wholesome that teaches great life lessons without all of the profanity and depravity.(less)

In promoting his book I have heard a lot of questions about Kate Hudson calling him a bad kisser, I assumed that there would be something mentioned about this in the book and that's why he was being asked. Did I miss something? I do not recall even reading her name much less him talking about being a bad kisser. Any ideas?

He didn't "drop names" to get more attention. I was surprised he didn't mention he saved a woman's life in Toronto at a movie premiere. The paramedics said she probably would have died without his quick actions. But those two things alone show what type of a person he is. (less)

I am reading the book in Hungarian. Right at the beginning of chapter 2, "Spring 1988" the translator uses a very special word for describing the activity of "driving through muddy watercourses in East Texas in a four wheel drive". Do you know what the original verb is? Maybe a slang, or some kind of informal expression - the Hungarian word is definitely created by the translator. I am curious, thanks for your help!
