Hello! This sounds like a book my 13-year-old would love, but I would like to know more about the sexual content (how explicit?) and also any explicit violence or descriptions that might well come in a book about the Holocaust. Thank you!

Debrah Roemisch Excellent book for a 13 yr old--nothing explicit. I also do not think it is a good idea to censor what teens read.

I'm not trying to be a jerk but does this book get better after the first few chapters? I read about 20 pages and I had to stop, which is very unlike me. I just found the writing to be quite dull and simple. I had high hopes for this as it marries some of my favorite things (books, Paris, WWII). Maybe it's because I just read The Mountains Sing (which is EXCELLENT) and so it was too much of a switch...
