Is Goldilocks supposed to be future fiction or parallel universe fiction? I am only 20% through the books but some of the details are disconcertingly incorrect. If it is a parallel universe then I am fine with the discrepancies. For instance, NASA Ames largely belongs to Google now. The book certainly predates the current space activities.

It diverged from our world a bit in the recent past, but I deliberately didn't go into the minutiae of when/how because it'd date it much sooner (for example, it was all written before COVID-19, and a detailed step-by-step of the years would have made that omission a little jarring).
