As a childfree Gen X woman I was really disappointed at the relative lack of this perspective in the book. There are a few mentions of women without children, but most of the book is about Gen X mothers specifically, not Gen X women generally. I feel that descriptions of the book should have indicated this somehow; that the focus is on parenting. I still found it to be an interesting read, but it did not resonate with me as I had hoped.(less)
