I'm confused as to what 'Huken' is? Is it a place name that sits below the ridge where the brothers live or does it mean something else. Also I'm assuming that Geitesvingen is a road...

Essentially the real life one is a 60 yard (meter) drop. Although this site doesn't give the actual pitch or steepness of it.

I know one thing for sure, the county planners there (in the book) really need to be kicked in the head for never putting a barrier up. (less)
