Wonder how it affected his family? Brock grew up in Oakwood, a small affluent city mostly surrounded by Dayton and Kettering Ohio. They had to move far out of town, they were so embarrassed by their son's behavior. I wonder if they changed their last name? They kept it so quiet that I didn't know it happened until I was reading a magazine in a Doctor's waiting room and his victim was telling her side of the story.

At 16, many teenagers would be facing the issues in this book for themselves. Alcohol, sexual assault, rape and the US Justice system. Teenagers, both boys and girls should look at these issues and maybe the more aware they are about them, the less these will be “issues” in the future. This raw account illuminates the reality, which we shouldn’t shelter our teens from. Brock was 19 when he committed this crime. Perhaps if he had been better educated, more aware, he wouldn’t have thought what he did was okay. (less)

Chris Goemans Yes. I read it & it was incredibly eye opening. It should be required reading for all incoming college Freshmen.

Alysha DeShaé She read it herself. There are some points where you can hear in her voice how hard it is for her.

Started out good then at about 20% it was diluted with metaphors, her thoughts, crazy comparison's and things unrelated in any way. I agree with another review, a good editor would have made a world of difference. THEN I read another review and couldn't believe this books gets political. Doesn't she really blame the government? Is Trump really mentioned? Well, I had to quit reading.
