And I will likely have some (hopefully cogent) reflections on it. But I can say that GrumpyOldMan's objection to the book because it apparently treats Trump as an authorititarian "with no objective basis in reality" is hogwash. Trump has been easily readable and highly predictable. And he clearly (and objectively) presents himself as an extremely insecure authoritarian. Anyone having critical thinking and analysis skills and access to news over the last four years could easily recognize it as such. (less)
Nancy White I don't know the answer but maybe it is for the same reason that the first Harry Potter book is "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in the USA and…moreI don't know the answer but maybe it is for the same reason that the first Harry Potter book is "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in the USA and "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" in the UK. Different titles for different audiences. I admit I like the "The Seductive Lure of Authoritarianism" better but then I am American so maybe the marketing decision worked! (less)
