I'm confused. Are the chapters supposed to jump from 001 to 005? I may be a little ignorant to how this whole "forward" thing works. Can someone help me understand how to enjoy this book, please?

I believe that this short story, The Last Conversation, which is self contained, is numbered like a diary, (Day 1, Day 5, Day 9, etc.,) that does not contain entries for each day. I think the entry numbers are included simply to let the reader know that time has passed. (less)
