Irena Pasvinter Polly is not implicated in his death. He himself seemed to have no idea what happened to Uncle Jim until he decided to revisit his wife. How does Uncl…morePolly is not implicated in his death. He himself seemed to have no idea what happened to Uncle Jim until he decided to revisit his wife. How does Uncle Jim come to be drowned? He hated water, so most likely he couldn't swim, and with his way of life (drinking and fighting) he had plenty of chances to fall into the river and drown. It turned out to be a strike of luck for Mrs Polly, as he was impossible to recognize and was wearing clothes with Mr Polly's name. A happy coincidence.;) (less)
