By the time he reached Russia many things were out of his control and he was basically just hoping for the best (not being extradited and/or suicided).
He was never meant to stay in Russia, but his passport was cancelled while he was in mid-flight. The final destination was Ecuador. (less)

Emily It's true that he doesn't go into great detail when it comes to his current situation, but (in the chapter Love and Exile) he does mention that he giv…moreIt's true that he doesn't go into great detail when it comes to his current situation, but (in the chapter Love and Exile) he does mention that he gives a lot of talks and presentations 'about the protection of civil liberties in the digital age' and that he's also on the board of directors at the Freedom of the Press Foundation.
If you check their website, it says that 'he works on methods of enforcing human rights through the application and development of new technologies.'
Also, of course, he wrote the book ;-)(less)

I just want to know, is this version a uncut version? In China's book review website, it has been rated at 5.4 stars (full mark is 10.0) in the reason that the chinese edition has been cut a lot due to the censorship. I hope i could read the uncut version and make discretion in person with expectation.

Also, he met with journalists in Hong Kong , he reasons why he did this and considering the today's political climate in Hong Kong, this might be a second reason for censorship. (less)
