He was never meant to stay in Russia, but his passport was cancelled while he was in mid-flight. The final destination was Ecuador. (less)

If you check their website, it says that 'he works on methods of enforcing human rights through the application and development of new technologies.'

Also, he met with journalists in Hong Kong , he reasons why he did this and considering the today's political climate in Hong Kong, this might be a second reason for censorship. (less)
