And yes, Mabel Loomis Todd erased Sue's name from many letters. (In the volume of Dickinson's letters edited by MLT, not even ONE of the letters addressed to Sue are present.)

*You might be right/more accurate by using "queerness" than me using "gayness". Her bearded poems sort of play with the idea of gender and sex.(less)
