Characters have plenty of scope for development, plot in last chapter left hanging, who is mummy and daddy, library has its own agenda, etc.
One book per year is a definite bet. Further books may even expand on individual characters’ lives.
The library series, like The Disc World by Terry Pritchett, is definitely fertile and growing. Ms. Colman is definitely on to a one horse race with this series.(less)
