He does make an appearance in the book. however, the overall acceptance of homosexuality at this point in Roman history is ambiguous. And that is how I had to approach it. It was most certainly accepted among adult/adolescent males in Greek societies.

That being said, IF he and Antony were lovers, then the ancient writers don't mention any other homosexual affairs in Antony's life. Cicero harps on their homosexual relationship, but his invective was done in his Philippics which most historians agree was the same sort of invective a lot of politicians attack one another with--even today! Ha! Therefore, the "truth" behind this matter cannot be known.

I will also add that their relationship in my version of the story arcs back and forth as the story continues in my upcoming book, Antonius: Second in Command. Hope you'll give them both a read!
