As a husband to an alcoholic I can tell you that not just do men suffer from it, but we are shamed for it, we are often invisible sufferers of it. A few times I scratched the word “woman” off and wrote “human” which is stupid (but made me feel better.

Yes. This isn’t for women, it’s for humans. (less)
