Please, Goodreads, when will you change the system so that books which are not yet released cannot be reviewed or rated by users? This site has enabled harassment of an author by many users who have not read the book! Users trying to force an American cultural lens onto a work they have not read, written by a Chinese author is a terrible thing for this site to allow.

Unfortunately, there are people out there who get offended by the tiniest things and then cause the whole mess that happened with this book. Julie The author was bullied on Twitter until she agreed to pull publication of the book. Hopefully, her agent and the publisher can talk her out of this.

I would like to read this book. I have preordered it. When will it be out? I heard there was some controversy and it might be canceled. Please release the book in a form you are happy with! Progressive shaming tactics are awful, and I have little doubt any accusations levied against you are inaccurate, exaggerated hyperbole or downright incorrect.

I do hope the author will decide to have the book published at a later date. I was unable to get an advance copy, and was looking forward to reading this book. Is anyone aware of anywhere in the author's social media where she has mentioned a later publication date?
