I have no problem …moreMy daughter works on a 6th grade level (she is by age a 5th grader) and is very mature for her age and I pre-read the book for her. I have no problem letting her read it. There is more violence in the daily news and schools nowadays IMHO. We have many gay and bisexual friends so for me it was not an issue to not let my child read the book. I think parents need to make this call based on their environment and the child itself and not by grade or age.(less)
