For folx saying the author's gender doesn't matter, it absolutely does. I love horror but won't read Stephen King because he can't write a believable character that isn't a white man to save his life. As not-a-white-man, representation and which voice is telling which story means a lot to me. It's even more shameful that Sager made it ambiguous for the reason of sales, when women "do better" than men in so few arenas. I dunno, feels kinda appropriative of sexism issues in the publishing business. (less)

You don't just find any old person off the street and conduct an organ transplant! Even though I loved this book it was very well written and the plot and twists were very well done! I tried to get past the last part! He should have done a little better research into that before writing! (Just my opinion!)(less)

However, I guess this way it’s more realistic. (less)
