This is such a small point but it's bugging me. In the very beginning of the book it's 1989 and the President is told about a secret lunar base. He then somehow calculates the crew has been in space for six years. HOW DID HE KNOW THIS? The guy telling him about the base only said it started in 1963 and there was ten years of planning. So where does being in space for six years come from??? Is this just a logic gaffe
