I believe the saying is "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." 3 people were killed because of his restrained, delayed wit. Cream is by far the worst hitman I've ever read about. but in a way I semi understand. It did look like Kenzie was being replaced even though it wasn't like that at all.
As for Alani, I get why she refrained from telling him. she really wanted to move on from him, but the bond that grew between her and Bella kept him close and she knew a baby would only bring him even closer. (less)
