I saw it recommended on the Tor web site and thought I'd check it out even though it's not my usual kind of thing. I do find that I like the sub-genre where people with 21st-century attitudes and vocabularies are walking around doing cool stuff in medieval settings. It's easy for that to ring false but Naslund pulls it off nicely.(less)
