It is very appropriate for school libraries. Selected chapters could be used by many teachers in class, specifically the historical information on Margaret Sanger and the early days of family planning. Other portions would depend on the values of the local community. There are definitely neighborhoods where a teacher would be in big trouble for discussing female genital mutilation, or criticizing the Roman Catholic church. Definitely a good choice for Advanced Placement classes. (less)
