Is this a lot like The Boy in Striped Pyjamas? The titles are really similar; frankly, I'm surprised John Boyle hasn't taken some legal action against it since the books deal with the same era and its issues. Just curious.

Holocaust education charities advise that it should be avoided at all costs and research has shown how damaging it is when it comes to students’ perceptions of what happened. Girl in the Blue Coat is very well researched and reveals some of the horrors of what went on in occupied territories such as the Netherlands. (less)
