Was anyone else annoyed at how many times characters "murmured"? I read multiple chapters in a sitting and it stands out when there is lack of variation. (I haven't read any of her other books.)

Did anyone notice that the author wrote the Flora and Evie characters in first person present tense and the D.D. character in third person past? I found that an interesting POV and curious if anyone else was distracted by it. Thanks!

I've loved all of the other Lisa Gardner books I've read, but I've got a question about this one. Why would Boston police officers investigate a crime committed in Winthrop? They are two different places with two different police forces...
