Ell Definitely and, in fact, as a teenager, you probably need it the most.

Do you need to read Reasons to Stay Alive before reading this one?

Christina These books stand-alone. Personally, since I found NoaNP so anxiety-inducing and depressing, I would read it 1st and immediately follow it with RTSA.

Living through this Pandemic of 2020 and now 2021-has the author done an updated or revision to this book? Also, does his faith or religion have an impact on what he writes?

F. I don't know if he updated the book, I read it in 2021 and it's one of the best books I've ever read. He wrote : "It is all right to want something but wanting is also lacking. That is what ‘want’ means. So we have to be careful of our wants and watch that they don’t cause too many holes inside us, otherwise happiness will drip through". It's understandable what he is suggesting and I agree. but if we don't want better, we don't move forward! if cave man happy with his cave, we won't be here. What do you think ?
