I'm hearing a lot of good things about this book, but the allegations of domestic abuse against the author make me hesitate to support her work. I don't know if there's a clear answer, but from someone who's aware of the author's abuse and has also read the book, is it worth reading? I certainly won't buy it, but should I give it a chance?

As for the charges and countercharges, it is enough for me that there was a final settlement and no criminal allegations were ever prosecuted.

Life can be messy.

I, for one, have read both her books and have enormous respect for her talent and would never reject her art.(less)
