I don't see a warning with this book (but then again with Long shot, the warning was pretty lame compared to what the book talks about) so I need to ask before I dive into this one: Is this book as violent as Long shot? Rape, assault, forced pregnancy, a lot of blood and death?

Jennifer I think that you are supposed to read Long Shot first because the characters from that book are featured in this book. And there are some spoilers. So…moreI think that you are supposed to read Long Shot first because the characters from that book are featured in this book. And there are some spoilers. So if you are ever planning to read Long Shot then I would say that you should read it first. But if you are never going to read the first book then I think that you could easily read Block Shot as a standalone. Jared is first introduced in the first book. But I don't think that it would be necessary to read it to understand him.(less)
