It's hard to understand anything if one is not willing to investigate philosophy, history and mythology thoroughly. Moreover, if one is not willing to think for oneself and defy scholarly dogma for what it is, this will fly by uselessly. I think that a completely rational but open reading (along with the use of intuition, as she suggests) is possible without resorting to faith or dogma. What do you think?
