Having read those I'd say you may skip book #1 in The Trilogy but it'd be quite pointless to start the 3rd & final book if you haven't finished its immediate predecessor.(less)

Most of the books are sets of a trilogy following one story. But the strange announcement at the end of the book and Constance's smile will mean something in later books.(less)
