Is this, basically, an author trying to popularize the ideas already written about in Finite and Infinite Games by James P. Carse?

Ric Hayman Yes, and he tells you as much from the beginning of the book. Sinek has certainly directed me to Carse, so it must be working :)

I've not been able to find any critical reviews of this book. From a purely pedantic point of view, there is no such thing, in reality as 'the infinite'. So the author is really talking about complex games that don't have fixed end-points. Maybe even fractal games. Game theory is deliberately simplistic, which is how it is able to make predictions. Does this book have any practical solutions to fractal games?

Does the book address the reasons behind the finite mind set? For example, does it mention that the social structure supporting our system is imposing artificial scales? I mean things like term goals, annual reviews, etc. which tie the livelihoods of people to short time spans.
