One of my favorite books is The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah - also set in France at the beginning of WWII. Do you know if this book is similar to that? I would love to read it but Nightingale is a tough act to follow.

Did anyone else find themselves wanting to visit a Château in the French countryside after reading this? Fiona Valpy's description of the Mill House and Chateau was so beautifully written, I found myself checking out B&Bs in France!

I have finished "The Dressmaker's Gift" and now "The Beekeeper's Promise". Is there a third book with these characters? Thoroughly enjoyed both books. I just completed "Sea of Memories" which is also excellent.
