Why would anyone like this pathetic copycat of M.C. Beaton's Hamish Macbeth books? Weak characters, weak plot development, just not worth anyone's time.

Heidi Racht I like this writer much better than MC Beaton, an author I stopped reading years ago. Better development, for one thing, of the secondary characters.

What year does this book take place in? They may have mentioned it in the beginning but I missed it. Knowing the author from other series I assumed it was a historical fiction mystery and got really confused when they mentioned computers!
