How many people have been greatly influenced by this book?

Holly I wasn't really into books in elementary school cause i've never been good at ELA so it was a pain just learning to read. My favorite book at the time…moreI wasn't really into books in elementary school cause i've never been good at ELA so it was a pain just learning to read. My favorite book at the time was Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs (Was so happy when the movie came out) and it was 4th grade where my teacher read us the book.
I loved it so much that I read it twice and after that I got into books more though I really got into reading during the 7th grade.
Now I can't get enough XD(less)

Okay, so I watched the movie as a kid and was tramatized by it. I'm not sure if it was just the animation or the storyline as well (to be honest I'm not sure I really remember that much of the storyline. I think I just wanted to erase it from my mind). Do you think reading the book would be better for me and make me feel more at peace with the story? Thanks ❇️Pen

Does anyone else have concerns about this being for young children? I see that many schools are using it in grades 3/4 and I find it contains elements that are unnecessarily dark for that age group. Also, the grander themes will be lost on such a young audience, in my experience. Any thoughts?

RebL I don't know that any of the themes are any more dark than in your basic Disney movie such as the Lion King. My 4th grader really enjoyed it.
