Anyone perusing the Discussion Questions in the back of the book? I am confused by a couple of them. With most of the questions, you can point to a specific place in the text for an answer, or a basis for a strong conjecture. But do we ever hear how Willa envisioned her life as a young girl? (Question 15) Also Question 1, regarding how Willa came to understand her parents' marriage?

Once when Willa asks Cheryl what she wants for dinner, they go through suggestions of different things. When Cheryl mentions grilled cheese sandwiches, Willa says she hates grilled cheese sandwiches. Remember that is the meal her father always served her and her sister whenever their mother would leave without any word. (less)
