We had a clash in the US and had to change the title there, hence 7 1/2. Don't worry, you're getting exactly the same amount of murder for your money, though. (less)

Yes - He was lured into the forest on the evening before he wakes as Aiden by Madeline (she brings a notes to the dinner table saying to meet). She attempted to kill him but resulted in merely cutting his arms before he escaped and hit his head (waking up the next day in the forest).

The reason for Madeline (Evelyn) attacking him is because she purchased strychnine from him, pretending it was to rid Blackheath of its rats but actually using it to poison Lord Hardcastle & Felicity Maddox. She knew that it would be worked out that strychnine was used for these poisonings, once the bodies were found, and that Bell would realise she was behind their deaths. Therefore she thinks that a simple solution is to murder Bell beforehand.

That is what I understood so I hope it is right! It does get quite confusing. (less)
